  1. Spotlight on Mr. Ronald Shephard

  2. Social Studies teacher at Central High School, Mr. Shephard enjoys re-enacting the French and Indian War in his spare time.

  3. Mr. Shephard portrays an actual person from the 18th century, Captain John Millidge, who commanded the 1st Troop of Rangers from the Colony of Georgia.

  4. Mr. Shephard has travelled as far as Birdsboro, PA to the farm that Daniel Boone was raised on to pursue his hobby.

  5. His re-created unit has been invited to events in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Nova Scotia, Canada, though he was not able to attend that event.

  6. He will attend the 250th Anniversary event of the siege of Fort Niagara in July 2009 in Youngtown, NY.

  7. Mr. Shephard and his unit are regular participants at Fort Toulouse in Wetumpka, AL for Alabama Frontier Days in November and the French and Indian Encampment in April.
