  1. New User Default Settings in Version 4.0 In Version 4.0, SSIS Worker and SSIS Fiscal are combined into one executable. This means both fiscal staff and social work staff use the same desk top icon to launch the application. But there is different functionality in SSIS Fiscal than SSIS Worker. In order to determine what functionality is assigned to a particular user, three new functions were created: Fiscal Default Activities, Worker Default Activities and XP Options. These functions are available to assign to a user’s role in Security Admin. This document explains how these functions work and provides a visual representation of what users see when these functions are assigned to their role. First, there are some general assumptions that apply to all these functions. When assigned to a user’s role these functions control: - the look of the application that the user sees. - application toolbar buttons and menu choices available to the user. - the appearance and menus for groups of users, not for individual based on the preferences of that user. XP Options Function – View Menu Choices When assigned to a user’s role, the XP Options function allows the user who also has Fiscal Default Activities assigned to their role to display or not display the: - Toolbar – the main application toolbar - Action button – the Action button at the bottom of screens. This does not apply to the Select button when it replaces the Action button on screens, e.g., adding a business organization to a service arrangement. - Status bar – the bar located at the bottom of the main application screen. Users with Worker Default Activities assigned to their role do not have access to the above display options even if they also have XP Options in their role. Both Fiscal and Worker users can choose to display or not display the Task Panel. The Task Panel provides a method of quick navigation to actions regularly taken by users.
