  5. Create upgrade data Upgrade archive „Simplified upgrading“ (1) Machine producer Machine operator No SCOUT environment SCOUT environment Upgrade SCOUT project Record on storage medium MMC/CF IT Diag USB stick • Advantage: • Upgrade can be realized by the final customer’s staff (maintenance staff) • SCOUT is not necessary on site upgrade

  6. „Simplified upgrading“ (2) • Task definition • An upgrade of the machine (with the machine operator) has to be realized • SCOUT or PC are not available • The customer’s staff (maintenance staff) must be able to do the upgrade • Solution  new function „upgrade data“ • Create upgrade data: • Realization with SCOUT (after making the changes in the project) • Upgrade data set (archive) can contain one or several controls or even several projects • Upgrade data contain everything that can be run on SIMOTION, including SINAMICS-Integrated. • Example of the upgrade media: • Even possible without SCOUT via external „update program“ • Media: CF/MMC, USB stick, IT Diag • CF/MMC: only the upgrade data of the device – IT Diag, USB stick: all • Upgrade: • The CPU to be upgraded already requires a FW version of at least V4.1 SP2 • CF/MMC: plug in  switch on  upgrade process is executed • IT Diag: upgrade via existing Ethernet/Internet connection • USB stick: the same USB stick can be used to upgrade all controls being stored in the archive • The runtime licences remain the same for all variants Upgrade

  7. „Simplified upgrading“ (3) Machine producer SCOUT environment • The machine producer can also use directly the new upgrade possibilities by means of SCOUT Upgrade SCOUT project MMC/CF IT Diag USB stick upgrade

  9. Load project from the device „Upload in case of missing or not current project “ • Upload: • Upload without project • project is not available on the PU. • The whole content of the control (TO‘s, programs, variables) are uploaded • Upload with existing project • The project is not online consistent • Update of all objects via „Load to PU“ • Individual upload (object-granular) • The project is not online consistent • Adaptation via project comparison (will be indicated later) • Storing additional data on the device • For the upload and the project comparison, additional data have to be stored on the target device before realizing the upload. • Advantage: • Easy adaptation to the control (consistence) Diagnostics

  10. Project comparison • Project comparison: • Possible comparisons: • Devices in one common or in different OFFLINE projects • OFFLINE device in a project with real (ONLINE) device • Functions: • Display of the differences concerning device, TO, program, …. • Detailed comparison of source  target • Compensation of the differences Diagnostics • Advantage: • Quick comparison of two projects with display of the differences (where, what exactly) • Quick and safe compensation of differences

  11. Comparison partners Adaptation of the object Object attributes Object Comparison attributes Detailed adaptation

  12. TO comparison in expert list • Comparison functions are also possible in TO expert list Diagnostics

  13. „Online Multiuser Operation - light“ • Several users are working on the same project on a CPU. • Technology objects and sources can be loaded separately. • With a project comparison and especially with the possibilities of adaptation, the changes of a colleague can be accepted in your own project status. Diagnostics Schematic representation of the online multiuser operation

  14. Advantage: • Schnelle overview der vorhandenen Objekte (TO‘s) und • ihrer Beziehungen (Verschaltungen) Interconnection overview • Interconnection overview: • Representation of all object interconnections on one device • Representation of overlapping object interconnections • Detailed representation of object interconnection • on the input side and • on the output side Diagnostics • Advantage: • quick overview of the existing objects (TO‘s) and • their relations to each other (interconnections)

  15. „Load changes easily“ (1) • Improvement for the download • Expanded download dialog • Separate initialization of data during the download (in the STOP mode) • Download of subsets • Also usable in the RUN mode • CPU without drive • Technology objects even if the sources are not consistent • Sources even if technologyobjects are not consistent • Also without HW config Diagnostics

  16. „Load changes easily“ (2) • Control of MotionTasks fromSCOUT • Important for download in the RUN mode • Running Motion Tasks cannot be loaded during the RUN mode • Active MotionTasks will stop and then restart after the download • Via device diagnostics -> Task Manager • Selectable in the debug operation Diagnostics

  17. „Task Trace“ • Task Trace: • The sequence of the single tasks and user events (generated by a function command) are represented in a graph • Configuration of the task trace via IT Diag • Start of the SIMOTION Task Trace via SCOUT device diagnostics, IT Diag or via user program (system functions) • Start of SIMOTION Task Profiler • Via SCOUT device diagnostics • via IT Diag • Advantages: • It becomes easier to understand and to control the interactions of the programs/tasks Diagnostics

  18. V 4.1 SP2 – „Task Trace“ (2)

  19. „Generate diagnostics data“ • Generate diagnostics data: • Reading out diagnostics data for system and application diagnostics • Diagnostics data sind • Diagnostics buffer of SIMOTION • Diagnostics buffer of SINAMICS Integrated • Queued SIMOTION TO alarms • Retain data shots of SIMOTION • Additional analysis data for the development • Maintenance staff need ”screw driver“ and ”PC“ • „Screw driver“  operator control action on the CPU  diagnostics data on CF/MMC • „PC“  diagnostics data from CF/MMC for OEM or for Siemens analysis. • Storing of the diagnostics data can also be started via IT Diag • Advantages: • Generation of diagnostics information without SCOUT for a further analysis • HW exchange including saving and restoring the retain data without SCOUT Diagnostics

  23. SCOUT - Online / Offline View • Display of online- /offline values in TO dialogs • Colored field shows which values are visible • „YELLOW“ Online values of the TO • „BUE“ Offline values of the TO Usability

  24. SCOUT - new assistantsSetting of the brake behavior in case of TO alarm • Selection of the brake behavior of the axis is realized via an assistent. • Can be applied to SINAMICS S120, MASTERDRIVES and SIMODRIVE drives. Usability

  25. SCOUT - new assistants Presetting of dynamic values • The dynamic values of jerk and acceleration are calculated and set by a default setting of velocity and ramp-up time. Usability

  26. SCOUT - Expansion of accessible nodes • Setting of the PU/PC interface is possible directly from the dialog • Automatic setting of the Ethernet interface • Direct indication of an IP address • If a router was in between, you would not see the device • Load project from card and open it • It is possibly necessary to make settings in NetPro to go online Usability

  27. SCOUT - Further expansions • Variable comments as tool tip • Comments from variable declaration tables I/O-Var, glob. Var, variables from MCC and LAD/FBD sources and POUs(POE = Program Organizations Unit program, FB or FC) • Display as tool tip when it is used in MCC and LAD/FBD POUs Usability
