  2. MARS ARTIFACTS • The Spirit Lander has found a number of obviously artificial devices on the Martian surface. • These objects appear to be part of an advanced plasma thruster technology and a hydraulic control mechanism

  3. MARS ARTIFACTS • As of Monday, February 16, 2004, a closer look at the “Piston” has revealed that it is in fact a mechanism housing, possibly for the hydraulic pump required by the other pieces found at the Gusev landing site. • Take a look at this next drawing….
