National Level Learning Alliance Platform (NLLAP) series • a multi-stakeholder platform that offers learning and sharing opportunity; • a practical approach to promoting vibrant sector discourse/ learning/innovation, etc.; • organized and facilitated by the WASH Resource Centre Network (RCN) in collaboration with the Water Directorate, MWRWH; • takes place on the last Thursday of every month; and open to all interested parties;

  3. Jan –Nov 2011 The RCN Secretariat in collaboration with the sector directorates (WD-MWRWH & EHSD-MLGRD) worked with, and hosted a number of sector institutions/ stakeholders on the platform: Jan – Nov, 2011

  4. In January, Hosted: WASHCost/ KNUST Theme: “Life Cycle Cost Approach to WASH Service Delivery in Ghana” Featured a range of sector practitioners NLLAP 13

  5. March 4 , Hosted: EHSD-MLGRD/ Sanitation Technical Working Group - dubbed Time with Kamal Kar, the originator of CLTS Theme:“Scaling-up Sanitation and Hygiene in Ghana: the Case of CLTS”. Panel featuring Kamal Kar, UNICEF, WaterAid, CWSA and EHSD-MLGRD. NLLAP 14

  6. March 17, Hosted: WD-MWRWH/ Water and Sanitation Monitoring Platform on the Theme: “A Review of the 1st WASH Sector Performance Report in Ghana” May 26, Hosted: CONIWAS/ GrassRootAfrica Theme: “WASH sector financing in Ghana” NLLAP 15, 16

June 30 Hosted: IRC Ghana/SWITCH/KNUST, CONIWAS and a panel of experts from GWCL, ISODEC and Nii Consult Theme:“The State of Urban Water Management in Ghana: Challenges and Way forward” The SWITCH/RCN publication, “Towards Integrated Urban Water Management in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area: Current Status and strategic direction for the future” - launched by Mr. Minta Aboagye NLLAP 17

September 28, Hosted: USAID/CHF International sponsored Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for the Urban Poor (WASH-UP) project led by EHSD-MLGRD and WD-MWRWH Theme: “Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) Strategy for the Urban Sub Sector in Ghana” Chair- Prof. Esi Awuah of the KNUST =Doc launched - Dep. Minister, MLGRD NLLAP 20

Hosting: The CWSA/Triple-S Project Theme: “Beyond the statistics about water service delivery in Ghana: The SenseMaker Approach Objective: 1) Share the diversity of perspectives of various stakeholders on water service delivery using the Sense Maker approach 2) Getting stakeholder feedback on the results of analysis of stories of change.
