The Source of Quality Hispanic Engineers and Technical Talent • Chapter of a National Organization - Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) which was founded in 1974 in Los Angeles, California. • This student chapter was established on the Cal Poly Pomona Campus in 1973 as a Chicano Engineering Organization. It was chartered as part of SHPE in 1977 and changed to SHSE in 1983 to include Science majors.
