What is a logo? • A logo is a name, symbol, or trademark designed for a company • They should be easy to recognize. • Logos can be a pictorial representation of your company, or just words, or you can use a combination of both • The more your logo is used, the more effective it will become. Use them on all of your documentation that you use including business cards, and letterheads.

  3. Logo Design Guide • Your logo should project your company’s image. • Your logo design should be simple. • Remember, you want it to be easy to read • IT IS LONG TERM. So make sure that it is a symbol you will always want. • It should be unique, easily recognizable, and different from your competitors.

  7. Why they last • Notice that they are simple • They are easy to read • They have bold colors • They are not ornate • They are well advertised. • They are ALWAYS present on any type of product that they have.

  10. Slogans • A slogan is a phrase that you use that brings some sort of association to your company or business. • Remember, this is NOT a catch phrase like “ON SALE NOW” It is a line that REPRESENTS your company. • It is part of creating the brand. • Generally logos and slogans work together.

  11. What makes a good slogan • Be short and to the point • Consist of no more than six words • Convey a message of what your business provides • Be consistent with your logo design • Be easy to remember by potential customers.
