  6. Summary • Akakiy Akakievitch is an official. The young officials make fun of him. He is always seen in the same place, same attitude and same occupation. They told various stories about him. But Akakiy doesn’t answer a word. But if the jokes prevent his works, he always says “Leave me alone! Why do you insult me?”. He loves copying and he enjoys when he does his works.

  7. The officials call her cloak as a cape because ıt was too old and tattered. He decided to take it to Petrovitch who is a tailor . He wants Petrovitch to patch it but Petrovitch says that it can’t be patched anymore. For 2-3 months, he doesn’t eat and he just wears a cardigan because he doesn’t want his clothes become worn-out. He saves money and Petrovitch plant an overcoat to him for 80. When he wears his overcoats, everybody treats him if he make very important job. But one day, some people beat him and stole his overcoat.

  8. And he goes to work with his worn out cloak. He goes and tells about this situation to his boss but the boss scolds him. Akakiy Akakievitch becomes sick and dies. But the story doesn't end. There is a rumor in Petersburg, a ghost stoles overcoats and the ghost doesn't care how the overcoats look like. But one they the ghost stoles the boss’s overcoat and no one doesn’t see the ghost anymore.
