Pfeiffer Intermediate Organization • 5th Grade is arranged in 2 teacher teams • One teacher will teach Language Arts and Social Studies • One teacher will teach Math and Science • Periods are 84 minutes long • Science and Social Studies are every other day • You will share a locker with another student in your community – No locks

  9. Specials • Physical Education – Every Day for 2 nine weeks • Music – Every Day for 1 nine weeks • Art – Every Day for 1 nine weeks Specials will be during the same period all year

  11. Academic Expectations • Do your best!! • Read, Read, Read, Read, Read and Read • Expect about 50 minutes of homework each night • Complete all assignments • Use planner to organize assignments and due dates

  12. Lunch and Recess • Lunch costs $2.25 • Lunch and recess will be 42 minutes long • Lunch and recess will switch order each nine weeks • Parents are not permitted to come eat lunch with their child • Leave basketballs, etc. at home. We will provide all recess equipment

  14. Dress Code Basic Guidelines: • No holes in pants • No torn and tattered clothing • Shorts/Skirts must be past fingertips, even if worn with leggings • No Skulls, Guns, Blood or Vulgar images • No tank tops • No pajama pants We want you to look neat, clean and ready to learn!

  15. Electronic Devices • Details about a ‘Bring Your Own Device’ Policy will be communicated at the beginning of the school year • Electronic devices that are used without teacher permission may be confiscated • The school is not responsible for lost or stolen devices
