Why? • Mediate information decisions and software needs • Work with anything • Does not need to be well structured • The go-betweens with programmers, catalogers, curators, researchers… • Deal with longevity, migration, re-use, big picture issues • Extent resources and metadata beyond its original intent • Project management issues like budget, workflows, etc.
