Totally secluded and very private, it sits in splendid isolation in a verdant forest on a low hill overlooking deserted beaches, jungle-clad islands and the ocean. Facing west, the sunset view from any of the 3 bedrooms and the pool-side veranda is of a tropical sky in brilliant colors that are nothing less than stunning. With 3 large bedrooms, a large maid’s room, kitchen, and lounge, the villa can easily accommodate 6 adults and 4 juniors (plus2 maids). The semi alfresco dining area is large enough for a small sit-down dinner party. It is one of the best hotels with pool in Malaysia.

  2. The best part is probably the 16 m pool with an infinity edge that seems to merge with and spill into the sea below. There’s also a separate children’s pool which is thoughtfully covered so there’s no danger of sunburns. Another noteworthy feature is the wide pool-side veranda that cries out to be used for lounging and casual dining, though sundowners are not compulsory. For nature lovers the setting is ideal; packs of monkeys (2 species) leap about in the surrounding trees, eagles (3 species) soar overhead, hornbills (2 species) and numerous birds dwell in the surrounding forests. The truly observant may see the flying (gliding actually) lizard, giant bats, and colugos. A very competent butler comes with the package. For those who do not wish to leave the comfort of the villa, meals can be delivered at no extra cost. A great way to spend an evening is to have a pool-side barbecue. Or, if you need pampering, arrange for a special in-villa chef- prepared meal. Though it’s very secluded and private it is only 10 minutes from all that a tourist may need: an excellent swimming beach, great restaurants, lively bars, and well-stocked shops.
