  1. Importance of Health Room at Workplace Work has become a necessity. We spend half of our lifetime in the brightness and dimness of our office spaces. So it's natural for the management of companies to think about making their office as a second home. We all would have come across with people who do overtime in offices, late night shifts and maybe someone who lives in the same office space. They say necessity is the mother of all inventions. And so it happened. Boom! The discovery of employee wellness room or center. Wellness zones as some big companies call it. The leaders of multiple MNCs. and IT have realized a healthy and relaxed employee is the key to productivity. When you have an employee, who is actually awake it creates much more results than a person who is sleep deprived. It doesn't stop here, let me give you some details on real companies. So maybe you can introduce this to your company or to the venture you are going to start one day. Unilever, our favorite consumer goods company considers employee health as a top priority. They have a place called the wellness zone where the employee can have mindfulness, meditation, rest and recovery. The wellness zone is divided into four features : • Connection Bridge - an area where employees feel free and struck up conversations • Snack Section - a stack up of healthy food which the workers can have for free • Movement zone - a place for yoga, massages, and stretches • Silent Area - a space where employees can take break and rest

  2. Basically, office spaces these days are smartly designed to ensure the health and wellbeing of the employees. Allowing the employees to recharge themselves will aid futuristically to retain them. It lowers absenteeism level. It creates happiness in the mind of the worker and so it boosts up their productivity and creativity. By simply establishing good job satisfaction level which is at the top of every employee needs list, a lot of transformation can take place. Apart from this, it could be for personal health and care. There is a steady increase in the population of women in the workforce. Many of them return to work post pregnancy. Over the last decade, the benefit of breast milk over formula has inspired the mothers to nurse their children during the first year of life or maybe longer. Lactation rooms provide a comfortable space for these mothers to collect and store breast milk in the workplace effectively. These rooms could be equipped with other facilities such as light therapy, administering medicines and stress relief. It is mandatory to have a first aid kit with the essentials in any working setup. Employees need to be provided with initial training as in how to use these kits when needed. An emergency first guide might give in the required standard procedures. It is encouraged to make the employees be aware of the first aid tool kit upon joining the organization. Ready accessibility and storage are the prerequisite for this kit. Having a transport ambulance service on dial in a state of emergency is quite essential. A hazard-free zone to work should be the top priority of a company. For example, in manufacturing units, safety is what matters. Employees should be made aware of workplace safety tips or practices. Checking is required to monitor whether the employees have the appropriate safety gear to protect them from external accidents. Safety officers are appointed to control and monitor the variables in the environment to an extent they can. The wellness room should be a place where the employees can feel relaxed. A breakout from their busy work schedule. Also, should have amenities like the nursing room and first aid kit. These facilities could act as perks to the employees. By which one can decide the perfect company for their career choice.
