Petrobras R&D center is Transparent Ready • Petrobras is the firstOil and Gas company in Brazil • Main research lines of the R&D center (2500 persons), in Rio de Janeiro: • Oil (exploration, drill, off-shore including deep water, refinery processes…) and natural gas • New energies (Hydrogen, bio diesel, photo-voltaic cells, windmills...) • Competition (Formula 1) • R&D center monitoring system: • Co-generation and electrical distribution monitoring • Offices controlled by zones • Labs rooms controlled one by one: • Air conditioning and humidity • Electrical distribution and Lighting • Exhausting ventilation for chemical • Gas distribution • An industrial solution needed, due to open architecture and the precision required for labs regulation Rio R&D center

Transparent Ready, future proof solution • Transparent Ready solution includes: • IHM: Magelis terminal operators & iPCs, standard PCs • PLCs on a dedicated Ethernet network: • 9 Modicon Premium PLCs with Web server for remote diagnostic • 4 Momentum M1E PLCs • Twido PLC with etherport • Devices on Modbus Serial Line to PLCs: • TesysU smart motor starter • Micrologic, Sepam & Masterpack • Petrobras is evaluating Transparent Ready for the future extension of its R&D center (+2500 persons) • Using 1Go bits Ethernetgeneral network of the future building, thanks to a VLAN (virtual network) dedicated for the monitoring system. Momentum PLC Ethernet +TesysU for co-generation Magelis iPC Future extension of the R&D center
