Possible long-range muon topics • Very forward muon tagging if HF is moved inward, eta range 2.4-5 •  Physics opportunities • Space available • Tracking plans for coverage up to eta=4.0 • Bucking coils or toroids to add bending • Background rates, detectors with high rate capability • Aging tests at GIF++ or other • Muon electronics changes required if future L1 triggers will have 20 ms latency and accept rate of 1 MHz • Easier-to-run neutron simulations in the future? • GEMs: using the increased lever arm for improving the L1 muon trigger
