  1. How to diagnose Diabetic neuropathy? A physical exam and testing are required to identify diabetic neuropathy. Your neurologist may assess your muscular strength and reflexes during the physical exam. Your doctor may also examine how your nerves react to: ● Position ● Vibration ● Temperature ● A gentle touch You may also be subjected to tests such as: ● Ultrasound to check for bladder abnormalities, X-rays, and other procedures to check for stomach problems ● An electrocardiogram (ECG) is used to detect abnormalities in the rhythm of your heart. ● Nerve conduction investigations are performed to determine the passage of electrical current through a nerve. ● Electromyography (EMG) is used to determine how muscles react to electrical stimuli. ● Nerve biopsy to get a nerve sample for testing To know more about diabetic neuropathy, do consult Dr. Amit Shah one of the top Neurologist in Mumbai.
