  2. What is Relay for Life? • Sponsored by the American Cancer Society • Nationwide Events • Overnight, non-competitive walking or running events to fight cancer. • Teams • Fundraising Relay for Life Luminaries

  3. What You Need To Do • Register Online • “Commitment Fee”- Pay $10.00 sometime before March • Fee goes up to $20.00 if you don’t pay the fee by March. • Fundraise & Get Donations • Talk About the Event!

  4. Pledges & Fundraising • Pledge Form • Donate any amount, in cash or check form • Fundraising Activities Currently Planned / Being Planned • Candle Sale • Valentine’s Day Shout-Outs • Goal Per Person by Relay: $250 (approximately $50/month)

Current Fundraiser: Candle Sale • Beginning December 1st, we are starting to fundraise with a candle sale. • Goal: 10 Candles / Person • Goal due Date: January 25th • About 1 candle / week • $12/Each • Cash or Check (Cash Preferred) • Checks: Make out to “Relay for Life” • Candle Orders Will Be Delivered to SUNY Potsdam by February 10th • Home Shipping available for $6.00 (1 or 2 candles) or $12 (3 or 4 candles)

Member Incentives • Candle Fundraiser Incentive • If you sell 10 candles ($120 retail), receive a FREE T-Shirt for Relay for Life • If you sell 25 candles ($300 retail), receive a FREE$20 Wal-Mart Gift Card • Donation / Pledge Incentive by January 25th • If you obtain $100 in pledges/donations, receive a FREE T-Shirt for Relay for Life • If you obtain $230 in pledges/donations, receive a FREE $20 Wal-Mart Gift Card • If you obtain $450 in pledges/donations, receive a FREE $20 Wal-Mart Gift Card • These Incentives are Cumulative – Meaning, if you obtain $500 in Pledges and you sell 28 Candles by January 25th, you will receive three $20 Wal-Mart Gift Cards & two T-Shirts for Relay for Life! For FREE!
