Our VISION • Marketing and expanding the product such that it is globally accepted. • Set up a R&D unit and integration of IT for constant improvement of the product. • Making amendments/bringing about change in current government policies such that plastic cap manufacturing is banned. • Providing alternate use of plastic bottle caps which will be obsolete in future, eg. in road making, etc.

Plastic Water bottles, a threat??? • Only1in5 water bottles are recycled. • The other 4contribute to the 3 Billion pound of waste from plastic water bottles. • 30billionplastic water bottles are thrown away every year. • 200,000tonnescarbon dioxide are produced by plastic bottle industry each year. • 57,140trees would be needed to absorb20,000 tonnesof CO2. • Plastic bottles take 700yearsto begin composting

  8. Only 20%of the total PET production available for recycling was actually recycled (NAPCOR 2002). The major fraction of this 80%waste plastic that goes to the landfills is plastic water bottle caps due to their difficult recycling process as they are high molecular weight plastics.

  13. Why Green Caps??? • This thermoplastic material is 100%from renewable resources. 60% to90%decomposition can be achieved within 60to180days of being placed in a standard environment - this may be either a composting situation or a landfill.

  14. Cost??? • Cashew nuts shells are available for trading from March through June. According our field research in some of the villages in Cuddalore district and interview with cashew nut sellers CNSL is available throught the year and variation in price is negligible in off season. 1 litreof cashew nut shell liquid is Less than a 1 $. Cashew Nut Shell Liquids (CNSL) have a storage life of more than 2 years.

Future- • Testing acceptance of GREEN CAPS in local market (social impact). • Approach Cap Manufacturing companies for using Cashew nut shell cap of choice at Local then Global level to reduce the overall cost of the Green Caps.
