Fortunately, you may now indulge in a tasty donuts in Columbus without feeling guilty at all! This nutritious baked donut recipe includes whole wheat flour and coconut sugar as its sweetener, so it is packed with nutrients and free of the worst donut-related components. Also, since they are baked rather than fried, you didn't have to think about taking in an excessive amount of bad fats. You need to go no further than this tasty and nourishing recipe if you're wanting a healthier substitute for your preferred breakfast delight! Which Is The Healthiest Donut? Any donut recipe can be significantly healthier by changing a few ingredients. Flour: Maida or Refined Wheat Flour is typically used in recipes, but whole wheat flour can easily be substituted for it to add more fibre and nutrients. Other flours like oat or almond flour are also an option. Sugar: Refined sugar has little nutritional value and is full of calories. Use an alternative sweetener, like agave, honey, pure maple syrup, or coconut sugar which is more natural and good for health. Even though they remain regarded as added sugars, you need some sugar to enjoy a sweet delight. Milk: If you want to keep your donuts dairy-free and have fewer calories, pick non-dairy milk like almond or coconut milk. Glaze: Instead of using the sweet frosting, use a dark chocolate glaze or a simple icing prepared with white chocolate that hasn't had any sugar added. 1. Healthy Baked Chocolate Donut Recipe These donuts, which use oat flour as their primary ingredient, are not only gluten-free but also rich in protein and fibre. They remain dairy-free and Kato-friendly thanks to the inclusion of almond milk and monk fruit sweeteners. Naturally, the chocolate frosting makes them deliciously enticing. Ingredients: ● One cup oat flour ● One-fourth cup of Lecanto monk fruit sweetener – or coconut sugar ● One-third cup of cacao powder ● Half a teaspoon of baking soda ● One-fourth teaspoon salt ● Half a cup of milk – or water ● One teaspoon of vanilla extract

  2. ● One egg ● Two tablespoons cooking oil – like melted coconut oil Chocolate Glaze: ● One cup of powdered Lecanto monk fruit sweetener ● Two tablespoons of cacao powder ● One-fourth cup of milk – or water ●Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract ● One-fourth cup of chocolate sprinkles Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and Grease a donut pan with cooking spray. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together oat flour, Lecanto monk fruit sweetener, cacao powder, baking soda, and salt until combined. 3. In a small bowl or glass measuring cup, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, egg, and oil until combined. 4. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined – do not over mix! 5. Spoon batter evenly into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full. 6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of a donut comes out clean. 7. Allow donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. For The Chocolate Glaze: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together and combine the ingredients of powdered Lecanto monk fruit sweetener, cacao powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. 2. Dip the tops of each cooled donut into the glaze and then sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles. 3. Allow the glaze to set before serving. Notes: ● Rolled oats can be processed into oat flour by blending or processing them into a fine powder. ● To keep this recipe sugar-free and keto-friendly, we chose Lecanto monk fruit sweetener, but you could also use coconut sugar. ●To make powdered monk fruit sweetener, simply blend granulated monk fruit sweetener in a blender or food processor until powdery. 3. 2. Healthy Baked Almond Donuts without Grains This one is for people who have allergies or gluten sensitivity! These almond flour-based donuts are organically sweetened with honey. If you prefer, you might also use maple syrup. Ingredients: ● One cup (100g) almond meal/flour ●Three tablespoons (65g) honey (or maple syrup/coconut nectar/agave). ●Two large eggs (100g). ● Two tablespoons vanilla extract (optional) ● One-fourth teaspoon of baking soda Instructions: 1. Set the oven to 180°C/350°F and oil a six-hole doughnut pan (coconut or olive work well). You can also use silicone muffin tins as an alternative. 2. If your almond flour is indeed very rough, add it to a high-speed blender or food processor and grind until it approaches a fine meal. 3. In a bowl, combine the almond flour, eggs, honey (or other liquid sweeteners), and vanilla extract. Whisk it together and combine. Add one tablespoon of your preferred milk if the liquid is too thick. 4. Add the baking soda and mix until well combined. The mixture should be pourable but not too runny. 5. Fill the mixture evenly into the donut tray or silicone muffin trays. The donuts should be about 3/4 full. 6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked and golden. Let it be cool. 7. Best enjoyed on the day of baking but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days. Conclusion Regardless of age, donuts are a favourite among everyone.
