À propos About us • La Société Nationale de l’Acadie (SNA) est une fédération regroupant les associations provinciale et jeunesse acadienne porte-parole des quatre provinces de l’Atlantique. • The ‘’Société Nationale de l’Acadie’’ (SNA) is a regroupment of all Acadian and Francophone associations as well as the youth associations in the Atlantic proovinces. Notre mission Our mission • Promouvoir les intérêts du peuple acadien, particulièrement de l’Atlantique. • Promote the interests of the Acadian people, especially in the Atlantic provinces.

4. Mise en contexte • Statistiques au Canada démontrent que la population francophone du pays est en décroissance. Les régions de l’atlantique n’échappe pas à cette réalité. • L’immigration représente ainsi un enjeu important, notamment sur le plan du maintien de l’équilibre. • Statistics in Canada show that the national Francophone population is in decline. The Atlantic Region is no exception to the rule. • Immigration thus represents an important issue, notably for maintaining a linguistic balance. Background

Mission et mandat Le CAIF est un mécanisme de concertation qui regroupe les intervenants en immigration francophone de l’Atlantique afin de leur permettre d’échanger , de créer des partenariats, de partager des ressources, de travailler aux enjeux communs et de parler d’une même voix pour faciliter la mise en œuvre en atlantique du plan stratégique national pour favoriser l’immigration au sein des communautés francophones en situation minoritaire. Mission and mandate The CAIF is a coordination mechanism that brings together those who works in Francophone immigration in the Atlantic region in order to enable them to create partnerships, share knowledge and ressources, work on common issues, and unite their voices to facilitate the implementation of the strategic plan to foster immigration to Francophone minority communities.

Résultat à moyen terme (effets) : • Les interventions des communautés acadiennes et francophones de l’Atlantique en matière d’immigration son concertées et stratégiques. • Les intérêts, les besoins et la spécificité des communautés acadiennes et francophones de l’Atlantique sont pris en compte dans les stratégies et les initiatives fédérales et provinciale liées à l’immigration. • La région atlantique est mieux reconnue comme destination d’immigration dans la francophonie internationale et canadienne. Medium term results (effects) : • Interventions of the Acadian and Francophone community will be concerted and strategic. • The interests, needs, and disctinctiveness of the Acadian and Francophone community in the Atlantic region will be taken into consideration in the federal and provincial immigration strategies and initiatives. • The Atlantic regions reputation as an immigration destination will be improved in the eye of the Francophonie across Canada and the rest of the world.
