EZS - SIKOM Important events organized by EZS-SIKOM in 2010/11: • International Symposium VITEL 2010 “Digital Television Switchover: Challenges, solutions and cross bordercoopera-tion” in cooperation with the Slovenian ComSoc Chapter; Brdo-Kranj, • October 21- 22, 2010; in English language;Round Table “Future Digital TV”; • 105 participants from 14 countries; 50 students from University of Ljubljana • and University of Maribor • 25th VITEL Workshop “Internet of Things” in cooperation with the Slovenian ComSoc Chapter; Brdo-Kranj, May 12-13, 2011; in Slovenian and English languages; very stimulating round Table “Internet of things as a Basis for Sustainable Development and Quality of Life”; 120 participants from 5 countries, 25 students from University of Maribor • 26th VITEL Workshop“Cloud computing” in cooperation with the Slovenian ComSoc Chapter; Brdo-Kranj, November 07- 08, 2011; in Slovenian and English languages; 150 participants expected Sister Societies Summit, Kyoto, June 2011 2 2 2

EZS - SIKOM The most important professional activities in 2010/2011: • European Federation of National Engineering Associations • FEANI:membership in the Executive Board, in the Continous Professional • Development Committee and in the European Monitoring Committee • IEEE ComSoc, Slovenian Chapter: close cooperation in preparation • of national and international conferences and workshops • Slovenian Institute for Standardization-SIST: membership in the Exe- • cutive Board, chairing the Council for Electrotechnics, Informatics and • Communications • APEK (Slovenian Regulatory Agency for Post and Electronic • Communications): consulting Sister Societies Summit, Kyoto, June 2011
