  2. Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra • born in Mecca in 555 CE • daughter of a wealthy merchant (Khuwalid bin Asad bin Abdul Uzza bin Qusayy, who was progenitor of the clan of Bani Hashim) • part of the Quraysh tribe

  3. Marriages was in 570 CE to a man of the Makhzumi clan he died later on 1st marriage- ended in divorce 2nd marriage- at age 40 in 595 CE married 25 year old Prophet as his first wife and stayed with him for 25 years (until death) 3rd marrige-

About Hadarat Khadijah… • She was the first woman to take the Shahadah and accept the revelation of Prophet Muhammad at age 55 • Helped Islam spread • Always was there for the Prophet during the early stages of the spreading of Islam • Died on Ramadan 10th in the 10th year of Hijrah 620 CE at the age of 65

  6. Known as... • Malikat al-Arab, or the richest lady of Arabia • Tahira, or pure one
