  1. Loyalty To God "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (Luke 16:13 NKJV)

  2. Definition • Loyalty • The quality of being loyal to someone or something. • A strong feeling of support or allegiance. • Synonyms: Allegiance – Fidelity – Faithfulness – Devotion - Faith

  3. Loyalty In Word • Let no one make little of you because you are young, but be an example to the church in word, in behaviour, in love, in faith, in holy living. (1 Timothy 4:12 BBE) • Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12 KJV)

  4. Loyalty in Deed • And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Colossians 3:17 BBE) See Also Matthew 7:21-23; 1 Peter 4:11

  5. Loyalty in Name • But if he undergoes punishment as a Christian, that is no shame to him; let him give glory to God in this name. (1 Peter 4:16 BBE) • Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (1 Peter 4:16 KJV)

  6. Loyalty in Worship • But the time is coming, and is even now here, when the true worshippers will give worship to the Father in the true way of the spirit, for these are the worshippers desired by the Father. God is Spirit: then let his worshippers give him worship in the true way of the spirit. (John 4:23-24 BBE) • But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24 KJV)

  7. Loyalty in Giving • For this reason I make request to you, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you will give your bodies as a living offering, holy, pleasing to God, which is the worship it is right for you to give him. (Romans 12:1 BBE) • I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1 KJV)

  8. Loyalty in Reading • Till I come, give attention to the reading of the holy Writings, to comforting the saints, and to teaching. (1 Timothy 4:13 BBE) • Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (1 Timothy 4:13 KJV)

  9. Loyalty in Doctrine • Give attention to yourself and your teaching. Go on in these things; for in doing so you will get salvation for yourself and for those who give hearing to you. (1 Timothy 4:16 BBE) • Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:16 KJV)

  10. Loyalty in Preaching • Be preaching the word at all times, in every place; make protests, say sharp words, give comfort, with long waiting and teaching; (2 Timothy 4:2 BBE) • Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (2 Timothy 4:2 KJV)

  11. Loyalty in Work • And that you may take pride in being quiet and doing your business, working with your hands as we gave you orders; (1 Thessalonians 4:11 BBE) • Whatever you do, do it readily, as to the Lord and not to men; (Colossians 3:23 BBE) • And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; (1 Thessalonians 4:11 KJV) • And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; (Colossians 3:23 KJV)

  12. Loyalty in Recreation • Even so let your light be shining before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 BBE) • Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 KJV)

  13. Loyalty in Tribulation • Being glad in hope, quiet in trouble, at all times given to prayer, (Romans 12:12 BBE) • Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; (Romans 12:12 KJV)

  14. Loyalty in Religion • The religion which is holy and free from evil in the eyes of our God and Father is this: to take care of children who have no fathers and of widows who are in trouble, and to keep oneself untouched by the world. (James 1:27 BBE) • Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
