Construction • The Titanic was built in Belfast by a company called Harland and Wolff . • It was built for White star line company – It was suppose to be the most largest and luxurious ship in the world . • Heroverall length was 269.1 metres and she was 28 metres wide . • The designing chief for the Ship was Thomas Andrews, who supervised every detail of her construction.   4. Facilities • The Titanic has some amazing facilities.- • 3 Electric elevators • A heated swimming pool + A normal swimming pool • A Gymnasium • A Squash Court • A Turkish Bath • A Parisian cafe with French waiters • A Large sunlit Veranda Café’ with live palm trees Home

  5. Maiden Voyage • The Titanic Started her maiden journey at Southampton ready for NYC . • Captain. Edward J Smith was in charge and this was to be his last ship journey before he retired . • After the Titanic sailed across the Atlantic ocean and had a couple of stops there were about 2,201 passengers on the Titanic.   6. The Sinking • A Iceburg is the reason for the Titanic’s sinking – • There Weren’t enough lifeboats for everyone – at 2:09 pm the last lifeboat left with still over 1,500 people stil aboard the Titanic. • At 2:18 pm the lights went out and the Front of the ship plunged under water Home

Aftermath • After receiving Titanic's distress signals, RMS Carpathia arrived at 4:10am to rescue any survivors, just under two hours after Titanic had sunk . • At 8:50am she left the area, having picked up 706 survivors and their lifeboats. They were all: cold, damp and very upset at what had happened….. Home
