He has shared below some simple tips that can help age-proof your skin by preventing signs of aging, such as wrinkles, fine lines, etc. Use a Mild Face Wash It is always best to use a gentle face wash to cleanse your skin no matter your age. It is also important to cleanse in gentle, circular motions using a light hand as aggressive scrubbing can irritate the skin & accelerate aging. Choose a Richer Face Cream As oil glands tend to become less active due to aging, Dr. Joe Girouard recommends moisturizing your skin properly using a rich face cream that would minimize wrinkles and fine lines. Upgrade Your SPF (Sun Protection Factor) Routine Using sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher is a great way to keep your skin healthy & prevent age spots and discoloration. However, not all sunscreens work well when it comes to ensuring supple skin. Hence, you must switch to a moisturizing sunscreen cream that can keep your skin supple while protecting it from the harmful UV rays. Eat Right

You must avoid anything which can dehydrate your skin, such as alcohol. Apart from that, foods that are high in sugar & white carbohydrates can also age your skin faster by breaking down glucose. As you age, you should include more protein in your diet, such as lean meats, fish, legumes, beans, etc. Dr. Girouard also recommends foods that are rich in Vitamin C as they keep the skin looking bright and youthful.
