  1. Marble v/s Ceramic: Which material to opt for your dining table Dining is considered to be one of the most important pieces of furniture in our home. It is a main point, where we all sit together and share our meals while discussing the day plans and having a causal chit chat. Hence, choosing the right dining table takes a lot of thought and care. The table needs to be durable, flexible, timeless and a beautiful piece that will fit well with the décor of our home. Two of the most common material for dining table is marble dining set or ceramic. Let’s see the difference between these two: Marble v/s Ceramic:- Ceramic is manmade and artificial material. It is composed of clay, which is mixed with other form of inorganic materials to give it the appearance of marble. To form a finished surface that is completely sealed the ceramic has to dried and glazed. On the other hand, Marble is a natural material that is mined all over the globe. You will see that different areas of the world will produce different looking marble. Functionality:- Marble and ceramic both are very strong and sturdy material, they are also highly durable and resistant to spills, scratching and heat, etc. which is very important if you living room is clutter all the time. Cleaning and Maintenance:- If you are thinking to go for a ceramic then you don’t really need to worry about it, because the top of the dining table is sealed throughout the manufacturing process. Whereas, for marble dining room set it takes a bit more of care and maintenance. As marble is a softer material, hence it needs to be dusted and clean periodically, if you look after it properly it can last for a lifetime. Costing:- As marble is a natural stone and is very thick, the price can be significantly higher than ceramic. Weight:- If you like to change the place of the dining table, then we would recommend that the marble dining table is not for you’re as it is very heavy. Ceramic is comparatively lighter than marble and if you are looking to have more flexibility with your table than, ceramic might be the better option for you. Design Considerations: Marble table tops are substantially thicker as compared to ceramic. As marble is a natural material it has more variations and nothing can quite beat up the marble dining table as it has its own unique look.
