    1. Garrard County High School Marching Band Class AAA State Marching Band Finalist 2006, 2007, 2008 National BOA Ranking in Class A 6th.

    2. Calendar Through Graduation Guard Auditions begin March 29th 3:30-5:30. Percussion Rehearsals on Tuesdays. New Marchers May 3,4,10 and 13. Full Band Music Practice April 16 and May 25 3:30-5:00

    3. Pre-Camp Percussion and Color Guard 8:00 Noon. Monday, July 12 Friday, July 16. During Pre Band Camp Week all woodwind players will practice from 6:00 to 7:00. All Brass players will practice from 7:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, July 13. On Thursday, July 15th and Friday, July 16th all New Marchers will have fundamental marching practice 10:00 A.M. to Noon.

    4. Camp July 19 Everybody: 8:00 5:00. July 26 Same As Above. July 30 Unveiling of the show for friends and family.

    5. School Days Mondays 3:30 to 5:00. Early in the season will be a drill practice. We will learn and review new drill. Later in the year they will be normal rehearsals. Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30 5:30. Everyone full rehearsal. Friday Game Days 3:30-4:30. Everyone full rehearsal. In September and October.

    6. Saturdays All Day Contests.

    7. Leadership Building leaders one day at a time. Time to develop or taking the bull by the horns. Depth Chart Vs. Starter From the senior to the 8th grader, all are equally important on the field. No Bench Everyone is the starting quarterback, point guard, goalie. New School First in, for a reason.

    8. Attendance Vacations, Camps, and Mission Trips. How we work around schedule conflicts. Doctors, Dentists, and other. - Weve heard it all. Please schedule all appointments on off days. If you start now, it should be easy. Not on the team, part of the team. Everyone is equally important.

    9. Guard Payment Plans $250 ***$200 20% off*** 3 Mos. (By July 1) < $67 ($66.66) per month. Name entered into drawing for free fees, only 1 winner Pay tonight and be entered to win $100 backTonight!!! Only 1 winner. **$225 10% off** 4 Mos.     11. What You Get For Your Money Staff - $6000 Show Music - $2500 Busses for State - $2000 Instrument Supplies - $4000 Guard Supplies and Uniforms - $8000 Uniform care and accessories - $2000 Trailer fuel and up keep - $3000 Food - $6000

    12. Total - $33500 If you take the grand total of $33500 and divide it by 100 members each band member would need to pay $335. $250 as a Guard Fee and $225 as a band fee are still lower.

    13. Fundraising Requirements Every band student is expected to raise money through fundraising unless you choose the buyout option on your contract.

    14. Band Fundraisers in 2010 April - May Shell Bucks Vouchers sold to be used at Shell Farms. Fall Band-A-Thon Easiest Way to knock out fundraising obligation. Work at Football Games Working at the Gate. October November Fruit Sale Second Easiest way to knock fundraising obligation. Spring Extra fundraisers throughout the rest of the year. There are some scheduling conflicts.

    15. Buyout Option & Fundraising Requirements Every band student is expected to raise $300 through fundraising. If you fail to reach your assigned goal of $200 in fundraising, the amount you fall short will be added to your band fee account. The buyout option will be $200, but can only be accepted after all other fees have been paid
