ATN CARES: Community-Based Adolescent Recruitment & Engagement Studies

ATN.CARES aims to recruit and engage high-risk HIV-negative and HIV+ youth in LA and New Orleans based on behavioral and structural risk factors. With a focus on behavioral risks, substance use, gender and sexual identity, and structural/lifetime risks like homelessness and mental health hospitalization, the project uses technology-focused interventions and evidence-based practices. The intervention includes automated messaging and monitoring, peer support, and coaching, with the aim of improving healthcare, wellness, medication adherence, and sexual health.
