MSF Technical Committee Charter • Overall system and life-cycle view • Requirements, architecture, protocol specification, implementation details, facilitate interoperation • Leverage other standards bodies and activities wherever possible • Liaison with other standards bodies to communicate requirements, define protocols, co-sponsor events

  4. 1999 Accomplishments • Media Gateway control requirements input to IETF/ITU-T MEGACO/H.248 • Based switch control on IETF GSMP • Adopted concept of switch partitioning • Completed Straw Ballot of Release 1 Architecture Document • Established Interoperability Working Group

  5. 2000 Accomplishments • Completed Final Ballot of Release 1 Architecture Document • Final Ballot for Switch Control (GSMP) • Co-hosted First MEGACO/H.248 Interoperability Event in August at UNH • Established Management Framework Working Group • Drafted Implementation Agreements for MEGACO/H.248
