A Day in Tudor Times at Kentwell Hall: My Exciting Costume Adventure
Join me on an exciting journey through history as I visited Kentwell Hall in Suffolk, dressed in a handmade Tudor costume crafted by my mum. Intrigued by what life was like in Tudor times, I experienced the grandeur of the hall, held a heavy musket, and admired the guards discussing weapons. The kitchen wafted delightful aromas that made my mouth water, especially the sweet pudding. We encountered an intriguing and slightly sinister alchemist, who shared bizarre curiosities. Our adventure ended in the gift shop, filled with fun memories!

Our class Here is our group we’re in costume about to go through Kentwell Hall in Suffolk. I'm in the back row in the middle. I was excited about going and seeing what Tudors did.
This is me in a Tudor costume The legs and hat of my costume were made of soft fabric. The white shirt was just white cloth. My waistcoat was some velvet cut up. The pale apron was some of my bed sheet. Long socks were used for the hose and the cup was used for drinking. My mum made all of my costume. I felt silly when I came school.
At the Gates At the gates of Kentwellthe guards were talking about the weapons. I got to hold a Musket. It was so heavy I nearly dropped it after a while. The guards said that most people carried knives around for jobs but they were still very sharp so don’t touch!
The Kitchen The food smelt really nice I think, because I had a blocked nose! They had a sweet pudding that had chopped up figs and plums. The plums had marzipan in them. It made me feel really hungry.
The EVIL ALCHEMIST The alchemist was pretty evil. He had sheep eyes in a jar! He had them because he was studying them. Alchemists are mathematicians, scientists, herbalists, astronomers, biologists, philosophers and archaeologists. One of the things he did was he got a box and said can you see some thing when its not there? Then he showed us what was in the box. It was a spider skin!
Gift Shops This is the gift shop at the end of the journey. Mr Plowman is in the middle of the picture juggling with some balls.
