  2. Soup Kitchen • October 24th • Prepared and served tacos, salad, and cookies to the homeless in East Liberty • Jubilee starting next semester • Next event will be Nov. 28th • No soup kitchen in December

School for the Blind • Upcoming Volunteer Activity: • Christmas Tree Sale • Assist in process of delivering trees to vehicles of families • 11/17, Sat. 8:30am *continental breakfast* • 11/28-12/2; Fri. 4-8pm, Sat. & Sun. 9am-5pm On Wednesday October 31st, 2012 @ 6:30pm six volunteers from the Pitt Chapter of the Lions Club participated in Boo Bingo at the Western PA School for Blind Children. Our volunteers helped the students play a few rounds of Bingo while also celebrating Halloween. Volunteers cheered on the students during the activity and also helped cleanup afterwards.

  4. Eyeglass Collection Drive • Collection boxes going out this week • Collection schedule (1st and 15th) • Collect over Fall Break! • January: autolensometer training begins

  5. Angelus Home Bingo • Joined members of the Pittsburgh Deaf and Blind Society at the Angelus Home to play Bingo • Took turns playing with the residents and calling numbers

  6. Global Health Educational Talk • Educational talk from Dr. Larry Schwab from WVU • December 12th from 12pm-1pm • Lunch will be provided

  8. Social Party • Schenley Skating Rink • College sessions: Sundays 7-9pm • $3 admission, • $2.50 skate rentals • PAA Bowling • $9 per hour, per person (includes shoe rental)
