  1. South Granville School of Integrated Technology and Leadership The Crew

  2. Out WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW • The old advisory program clearly didn’t work so lets revamp.

  3. What is a Crew? A group of people working together

  5. Purpose of crew • Build Relationships • Students with no adult connections have lower attendance. • Positive relationships with others. • Develop a school identity. • Leadership opportunities • School Spirit.

  6. Crews • How are they selected?

  7. Step 1 • Students are given a ballot during homeroom (first 10 days of school) where they are allowed to select their top 3 choices of crew leaders. This can be based on crew leader preference or crew preference.

  8. Step 2 • Crew planning committee will sort ballots and assign crews. The goal will be to give the students their first or second crew choice. • 95% of students who voted were given their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice.

  9. Crew Time • Crew will be held every Friday from 11:20- 12:00pm. (40 minutes) • Crew will alternate with homeroom when necessary. • First crew will be held Friday October 1st.
