  2. Movies in the 1920’S. • In 1916 there were 21,000 movie theatres in the united states. The number of people who attended movies doubled in the last half of the 1920’s. • Became a resource that affected the behaviors of the people negative and positive. • Easily became the most entertainment for people because of the visual and experience • Cinema became the popular after world war 1 • America became the leading producer of films in the world

  3. Affect on the economy • People are spending $ to go out – keep the economy strong • The entertainment industry didn't really affect the economy in the 1920's as much as it did the people

Affect on American behaviors • A lot of people became very violent and imitated the behaviors displayed in the movies • In 1928 a series of 12 studies were made on the impact of moviees on children these studies noted the influence of the screen upon manners , dress , codes and mattter of romance the movies had the potenital and did incluence and affect the way people acted and thought.

Impact on american culture • The greatest impact of radio and television in the 1920s was that people realized for the time that information can travel around the globe in a matter of seconds and minutes, as opposed to hours and days, previously. This had a profound impact on the way businesses operate, the fact that investors could receive up-to-the-minute information, and it opened up a whole new category of employment in the areas of broadcasting, broadcasting technology including engineering, sound, and optics, and it started a new revolution in which companies reached their potential customers through the first practices of commercials.

  8. Extra • In 1907 you could watch a film at a Nickelodeon theater for five cents. In fact, that's why it's called a "Nickelodeon.During the Depression or the 1920s, movies cost about 27 cents.During the swinging '60s, it cost a little less than $1 to catch a flick.In the '80s, it cost about $4.00 to go to a movie.It now costs around $10 to go to a flick.
