  1. Chapter 36 • Reread the last line of the chapter. • Now, make a prediction about what you think this will mean for the Gladers.

  2. Chapter 37 • You will read about the Gladers arguing about something in this chapter, mostly in regard to Theresa. • Your job: Which opinion do you agree with and why? You need to include your background knowledge of the book in your answer. • It can’t just be: I think ___________ because I do. • Now that you have had a minute to think, make sure you have AT LEAST (2) reasons to explain your thinking.

  3. Chapter 38: Before We Read Think of the characters you have “met” so far in this book, including those who have left and those who have “changed.” • Which characters do you like the best? What makes them likeable? • Which characters do you like the least? What makes you NOT like them?

  4. Chapter 39: After We Read Now that Gally has returned, we are seeing a very different side of him than what we saw before. OR, you might argue that we have a better perspective on why he acts the way he does. Your job: Write a 100-word response to Gally’s return. What are your thoughts on him and his actions, now that he has returned to the Glade? Is he trustworthy? Why or why not? This goes in your Tri 2 Google Doc. Today is Tues, 2/11. If/when you finish, read Chapter 39 independently.
