  2. 何謂奈米 • 奈米是一種長度單位愛滋病有醫！紙張不怕水！螢幕薄得像紙！講的都是奈米科 技……，奈米科技聽起來又神奇又值錢，到底是什麼東西？ 把奈米兩個字拆開，「米」是指「公尺」，「奈」（「nano」 用n表示）是一種數值記號，與我們常用的「kilo」（用k表示） 相同。只不過k代表一千，而n代表十的負九次方（十億分之 一）。因此「奈米」是一種長度單位，指的是十億分之一公尺，約是頭髮直徑的十億分之一。所謂的「奈米科學」是科學家將奈米尺度下所觀測到的自然現象，歸納發展出的科學理論；而「奈米 科技」就是奈米尺度下的科學技術。

  3. 奈米科技-奈米馬桶 • ‘奈米馬桶’是怎麼個奈米法?有何神效呢?最新的奈米技術能抗污抗菌，和成(HCG)將奈米級微細釉藥覆蓋陶瓷表面，加入抗菌劑，讓陶瓷表面顆粒隙縫極小，污垢無法附著。奈米級處理後的表面顆粒和普通表面相差百倍以上，所以看起來普通的奈米馬桶、臉盆似乎改變不大，陶瓷表面卻有彷如平原與大峽谷之別。這個技術聽來簡單，實際研發卻不然，「控制不同窯燒溫度，去測試數種材料，再一一剔除，週而復始去找出最佳結果，光這過程就整整試了一年，」研發人員陳世傑說。當初他在英國的博士研究接觸過奈米材料，這個靈感發展出奈米釉藥，而解決衛浴表面易沾污的問題。
