WE DO NOT know why. • The Rules we use just help us predict the magnitude and the direction of the force that will be experienced by one charge that was caused by other charges. • The concept of ‘electric fields’ we developed to help us with our predictions. • The electric field likes show the direction of the force that will be experienced by a charge.
