Flood Risk Products Contents • Flood Risk Products (FRP) go beyond the basic flood hazard information shown on regulatory flood hazard products (i.e. FIRM, FIS Report, FIRM Database) • Products provide a deeper, user friendly analysis of flood risks within a Risk MAP Flood Risk Project • Flood Risk Products that are accessible from the MSC search tool include: • Flood Risk Map (FRM)- Downloadable in PDF format • Flood Risk Report (FRR)- Downloadable in PDF format • Flood Risk Database (FRD)- Downloadable in 3 zip file formats (GeoTIFFS, ShapeFiles, GeoDatabase)

The CDS Solution • PTS/ CTPs will deliver flood risk products via DVD or File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to the MSC • After receiving the products as DVDs or FTP, the CDS Team will load the products to the MSC Product Catalog • Search tool will display drop down menus when selecting a geographic area of interest

  5. Access Flood Risk Products • There are several ways to access the Flood Risk Products Search Tool: • Direct Link: https://hazards.fema.gov/femaportal/FRP • Accessible from the MSC Product Catalog • Accessible from the Flood Risk Products fema.gov page

  6. Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Product Catalog • New line item in the MSC Product Catalog

  7. Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Search Page Includes • Basic description of Flood Risk Products will display on top of the search page • Differences between Flood Risk Products and regulatory flood hazard products (i.e. FIRM, FIS Report, and FIRM Database) in an explanation on all pages of the search tool • Link to the Flood Risk Products fema.gov page for additional information

Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Select Your Community • Enter in your geographic area of interest via the drop down menus • If you do not see a geographic area in the drop down menus, there are no Flood Risk Products currently available for that community • Select ‘Get Flood Risk Products’ button to navigate to the Search Results Page

  9. Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Search Results Page • Products display in table format • Table columns include: • Product ID • File Format • MSC Posting Date • Size • Download • The FRD will have three available .zip file formats

  10. Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Search Results Page • By selecting the Download icon ( or ), the PDF or .zip file will open

Flood Risk Products Search Tool: FRD • The entire FRD is available as a single Geodatabase • The Flood Depth and Analysis Grids are available as GeoTIFF files • The vector content from the FRD (Changes Since Last FIRM, Areas of Mitigation Interest, Flood Risk Assessment) is available as shapefiles • Contents of both the shapefiles and the GeoTIFFs is the same as that in the single Geodatabase. They are packaged separately to reduce the total size • Help Text explaining the FRD file formats is provided by selecting the question mark icon ( )

  12. Flood Risk Products Search Tool: Question Mark Symbol • By selecting the question mark icon, the user will be directed to Help text • Help text contents include a product description and an explanation of the Product ID number, MSC Posting Date, and the size and download feature
