  1. Different Types of Beads Seed beads are among the most highly regarded types of beads available in today's marketplace. They are typically circular, often smaller than other beads, and come in either two forms. Seed beads can be used for a variety of purposes, depending on the type chosen. They are typically used to create jewelry pieces or decorative items. There are also other uses for these beads, including for embroidery projects. Another type of bead found today is seed beads shaped like animals. These beads usually come as several specimens, each with a color scheme and pattern unique to it. They are crafted from materials ranging from plastic, wood, and metal. They may be made out of various substances, including glass, wood, metal, and plastic. These beads usually come in sets of four to eight beads, traditionally arranged to resemble an animal's shape. Apart from animal-shaped seed beads, there are other shapes to choose from beads and more in Los Angeles. These shapes include oval, round, square, teardrop, heart, oval triangle, diamond, and hour-glass. Some jewelers also create tiny balls made out of plastic. These balls can be used for jewelry making, particularly for babies' birthdays and baby showers. Czech beads are unique because they come in a vast array of shapes and colors. Czech beads are usually molded into smooth flat bodies that are then painted with a metallic finish. Some of the commonly used finishes include green, blue, pink, yellow, red, and silver. In addition to the standard colors, Czech beads can also be dyed using orange, yellow, and violet for sparkly, multi-colored designs. Glass beads are the most basic of all beads. They can be clear or colored glass beads or semi-precious stones in various shapes. Glass beads have a glossy yet relaxed and natural appearance. They are excellent for use in making fine jewelry pieces. Many jewelry designs nowadays use glass beads as a prominent feature. Another one of the widely used materials in beadwork is shell beads. They can be found in shells of various kinds, including anemones, clamshells, and oyster shells. Shell beads can be shaped into any form that will best suit their purpose. Most jewelry designers make use of these shell beads to create different kinds of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hairpins, brooches, pendants, and rings.

  2. One other kind of bead material that has become popular as of late is acrylic beads. These are similar to the glass beads, but they are formed into large sheets. They are often used in bead working projects where a smooth and flat surface is needed. However, with acrylic beads, it is essential to note that there are two common types. There are the semi-translucent acrylic bead and the clear acrylic bead. Both of these beads can be further categorized into two more classes, the seed beads, and the shell beads. Seed beads are small round beads formed from semi-precious gemstones such as amethyst, citrine, ruby, tanzanite, and other stones. Standard colors include light purple, lavender, and green. Shell beads are tiny pebbles or shells that come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. These beads are perfect for making stringed designs. Can use them to create many different kinds of jewelry pieces.
