  6. Who Does What - Region Directors • Voting member of AASL Board • Submit Region Report to AASL Board twice a year • Attend Affiliate Assembly • Attend Affiliate meeting in region • Communication vehicle between Affiliates in Region and AASL Board

  7. Who Does What- Region Directors • Add your Region Director to your affiliate communication channels (listservs, member- only website sections, newsletters, etc.) • AASL can help but only if we know what’s happening in your state.

Who Does What - AACT • AACT = Affiliate Assembly Coordinating Team • Current roster in Section 1 of handbook • Prepare agendas and run Affiliate Assembly meetings • Review all Concerns/Commendations prior to Affiliate Assembly and determine if there can be any consolidations or if anything needs to be removed

  9. Who Does What- Regional Representative • Elected by, and from, delegates within a region • One-year term • Automatic seat on AACT • Communication vehicle between Affiliates and AACT

  10. Who Does What - Regional Representatives • Coordinates and submits Concerns and Commendations from affiliates • Facilitates conversation during caucus

  11. Who Does What - Delegates An AASL Affiliate Assembly Delegate is someone who is actively involved in the state affiliated organization and who has a clear understanding of the issues, trends, and concerns of school librarians within their state or region.

  12. Who Does What - Delegates Promote AASL events, activities, and offerings to state members Communicate Concerns passed by Affiliate Assembly back to state members Send Affiliate events, award winners, and activities to AASL for national promotion Communicate AASL activities to state members

  14. Communications • Diagram in handbook • Critical as delegates and other state leaders rotate on/off that constant communication is maintained.
