VOLUMETRIC BLENDER ROTARY VALVE vs. METERING AUGER: • The Rotary Valve is always pulling the material down out of the hopper. • Less Chance of material bridging because the material is not in contact with the side coming up. • The fertilizer is contained in a pocket so the volume of product is known. • The Rotary Valve is easier to clean out than the metering auger. • The Rotary Valve has UHMW seals. • The Rotary Valve is shorter in length so the tolerance can be held better than the CEMA Screw Conveyor Standards. • The Rotary Valve bearings are not in contact with material, giving them a longer life. • The Rotary Valve is simple to disassemble for maintenance. • The Rotary Valve has an A.C. TEFC Inverter Duty Motor. This motor is kept sealed from the surrounding environment.

VOLUMETRIC BLENDER AC DRIVE vs. DC DRIVE • Tight, predictable dynamic response, is often better than DC drive. • A current minor loop unrestricted by line frequency (due to commutating from a DC link). • 100% continuous torque at zero speed is available. • Smooth, relatively safe speed control up to and beyond Base Speed. • No commutator brushes. • There is less maintenance with an AC Motor. • The AC Motor has a lower replacement cost. • The AC Motor uses less energy. • The AC Motor has a longer life.

VOLUMETRIC BLENDER LAYCO VOLUMETRIC SOFTWARE: • The Software has previous experience in other industries such as powders, food and industrial applications. • The entire software package allows analysis to be pulled from other existing software. • The software provides a full system automation solution with inventory, tracking, scheduling and preventative maintenance.
