  2. Requirements for Graduation • 4 English • 4 Math • 3 Sciences • 4 Social Studies • 1 Health/PE • 6 electives (2-CTE,Language or Arts); 4-cluster/concentration) • 2 Foreign Language (optional- 4yr College/University) 22 Credits

  3. You will also need to pass Major EOCs English II Algebra I Biology

What’s the…..? • MSL’s- Final Exams • SAT-College Entrance Exam (4yr- College) • ACT-College Entrance Exam (4 yr-College) (mandatory as an 11th grader) • PSAT-Practice SAT (optional) • The PLAN-Sort of like the Pre or Practice ACT with an Interest Inventory-(mandatory as 10th grader) • ASVAB-Military & Interest Inventory (If you are interested in the military) • WorkKeys-Earn National Career Readiness Certificate

NC Scholars Program • Similar to Future Ready Core Requirements • English – 4cr • Math- 4cr • Science- 3cr (Biology, Earth & Environmental & Chemistry or Physics) • Social Studies- 4cr • Health/PE- 1cr • 6 Electives- (2-World Language; 4- Concentration/Cluster) • 2 Higher Level Courses (weighted 5 &/or 6pts.) • Overall GPA- unweighted 3.5 • @ least 23 credits and Graduation Project

  7. NCVPS(North Carolina Virtual Public School) • On-line courses that are not offered on campus • Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined • Must be in good academic standing

  8. Career & College Promise(Dual Enrollment) • Allows Juniors & Seniors to take College/”Trade” Courses @ Coastal Community College for free • Must have a 3.0 GPA • If you are interested in College Transfer (2 or 4yr College Diploma), must demonstrate college readiness

SAT Scholarship: To be eligible for the scholarship you must have the following by January of your senior year: • Weighted GPA of 3.5 • SAT-Combined scores for Math and Reading of 1100 or better OR ACT score of 23 or better • Community Service/Volunteer Hours 75hrs.=$500.00 100hrs.=$1000.00 Log Sheets must be turned in to Mrs. Baker More info can be found on the school website http://southwest.nc.och.schoolinsites.com/

  12. Brag about yourself! • Create a brag sheet about yourself. What are some extracurricular activities you are involved in? Are you a class officer? Do you run track? Have you been inducted into National Honor Society? Employers and Colleges would like to know!

  16. What are you waiting for? • Individual conferences will begin soon to assist with mapping out a plan • If you haven’t done so already, seriously think about what you would like to pursue

  17. Upcoming Events • Oct. 16th - PLAN will be administered (state mandated) • Oct. 16th - College Fair held at American Legion (fair grounds) @ 6:30pm
