  4. A little of history… The native AmericanswereIndians Their boat was the Mayflower The first Europeansarrived in 1620 : the PilgrimFathers

  5. The first Black slaves arrivedat the end of the 17thcentury. Abraham LINCOLN abolishedslavery and diedassassinated in 1865, at the end of the Civil War.

  6. The president The presidentisBarack OBAMA. He livesat the White House, itissituated in Washington D.C. The first presidentwas Georges Washington

  8. The flag The American flag iscalled « Stars and Stripes », « Star-Spangled Banner » or « The Old Glory ». The red and white stripesrepresent the first 13 colonies. There are 50 stars for the 50 states. The two last stars wereadded in 1659 when Alaska and Hawaï joined the USA.

  9. The National day The National dayis July 4th : itiscalledIndependence day. It commemorates the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
