La verastoriadeitreporcellini The True Story of The Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time there were three little pigs, who, one day, decided to go around he world in search of fortune.
The first one saw a man who was carrying straw. He said to him: “Hello, give me that straw so I can build my house”. The man gave him the straw and the little pig built himself a house. Right then and there the wolf arrived. He knocked at the door and called: “Open the door, little piglet, let me enter!” but the little pig answered: “no, no, no, enter you will not!”
So the wolf said: “ Really? And I will blow, blow, blow, and I will knock down the house!” And he blew so strong, so strong, so strong, that he knocked down the house and he ate the little pig. The second little pig saw a man who was carrying wood. He asked him: “ good man, give me that wood so that I can build my house.” The man gave him the wood and the little pig built himself a house.
And again the wolf arrived and said: “ little piglet, little piglet, let me enter, let me in!” “No, no, no, enter you will not!” “Really? So the wolf said: “ Really? And I will blow, blow, blow, and I will knock down the house!” • And in fact, he blew so much and he blew, and he blew, that he knocked down the house and he ate the little piglet too.
The third little pig saw a man who was driving a cart full of bricks. He asked him: “ good man, give me the bricks so that I can build my house”. • The man gave him the bricks and the little pig build himself a house that was very, very, very strong.
Right then and there the wolf arrived and said: “Little little piglet, open the door, let me in!” “No, no, no, enter you will not!” “then I will blow, and I will make wind, and will make a storm, and I will destroy the house!”
And he started to blow, and to make wind and storm, and to blow again, and again, and stronger and stronger, but he was not able to knock down the house. Finally, dead tired, he said to the little pig: “Listen little pig, I know where to find a wonderful field of turnips”.
“Really? And where is it?” asked the little pig. “There, by the smith’s house. If you like I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning and we can pick them together and will take them home for lunch”. “very well”, said the little pig. “At what time?” “Oh! At six.” But the little pig got up at five and went to look for the turnips right away. So when the wolf arrived and said: “Little pig! Are you ready?” The little pig answered: “Ready? I’ve been home for a long time and the turnips are almost ready!”
The wolf was very angry, but he thought that sooner or later he would have gotten that little piglet and he said: “I know where to find a tree full of ripe apples.” “And where?” asked the little pig. “In the priest’s orchard. If you like I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning at five and we can go together” The little pig didn’t say anything, but he got up at four and quickly went to pick apples hoping to be back before the wolf arrived.
Instead it took him a long time to climb the tree, and so, right when he was getting down, he saw the wolf coming. The beast said: “Ah, very well, you are already there! How are the apple? Ripe?” “of course” said the little pig. “try one!”. And he threw an apple so far away that while the wolf was running behind it, the little pig jumped down from the tree and ran home. The next morning the wolf came again and said: “ Ehi, little piglet, there’s the market at the village this afternoon. Do you want to go?” “Yes” said the little pig, “at what time?” “At three” said the wolf.
As usual, the little pig left the house much earlier, he went to the market and bought a barrel. He was going to make it roll home, when he saw the wolf coming. So he hid in the barrel and he let himself roll down the hill, so fast, so fast that the wolf got scared and ran away.
Later the wolf went to the little pig’s house and he told him he had been scared at a strange round thing that was rolling by itself in the middle of the road. Then the little piglet started laughing and said: “It was me! I scared you, didn’t I?”
At this point the wolf got upset. He decided to climb on the roof, to get into the chimney, and to finally enter in the house to eat the little pig. But in the meanwhile the little pig had prepared a big pot of water to boil on the fire, and when the wolf jumped in……
….. The little pig opened the lid and the beast ended right in the boiling water! The little pig closed the lid fast and when the wolf was cooked at perfection he ate him for dinner.
