Developing an End-to-End Narrative for Photon Flux Detection and Analysis

The GSSC is tasked with creating a comprehensive narrative that describes the end-to-end process from the initial detection of photon flux to the subsequent analysis of the resulting photons. This document will be included in the PDMP and aims to detail the importance of likelihood in analyzing LAT data, data serving methodologies, and other critical aspects of the process. The writing is currently in progress, and further details will be added to enhance clarity and comprehensiveness.

  2. GUC Action Item #14 Action Item #14: The GSSC will develop text describing the end-to-end process from the detection of a photon flux until the resulting photons are analyzed. This text can be included in the PDMP. Status: I’ve started writing this narrative but am far from done. I intend to include details such as why Likelihood is necessary for analyzing LAT data, how data will be served, etc.
