  3. Extra Documents • what voice is missing, what area, group, period, class, gender? • Explain why you want this type of document • Don’t ask for something you already have unless you have a darn good reason!

P.O.V. • It’s about the source, not the content of the document, except for tone • As historical evidence what are it’s strengths and weakness? • Remember SOAPS! • Presidents and kings lie! --why? • Was the person a first hand observer? • It’s about frame of reference, not only accuracy and reliability • Pictures, maps have a frame of reference too • If there is no source, you have P.O.V.
