  17. Female vs. male taboo language • BITCH vs. Bastard – both associated with female – what is a bastard? How is it degrading to both the male and the female? • How might bitch be different if said by a man to a woman, vs. being said from a friend to a friend, or even a woman to woman. • Words that are taboo for men…dick, ass, motherfucker, cock-sucker, pussy. • Words that are taboo for women…slut, whore, skank, tramp, cunt, twat, pussy. • Taboo words are often meant to be derogatory and demeaning to the subject.
