  6. Condensation • As air cools, the water vapor ‘wants ‘ to condense on a surface • Warm humid air that comes in contact with my cool basement walls will cause condensation

  7. To stop mold in the basement • Stop the water from coming into the basement • Close windows when the air is humid • Prevent water leaks into the basement • Proper drainage of gutters and area next to the house • Remove the water in the basement air • Dehumidifier • Cost a lot to run • Sump pumps
