  1. Lightning Safety Rules • No Place Outside is Safe! • 30-30 Rule: If the time between seeing lightning and hearing thunder is 30 seconds or less, seek shelter. Wait 30 minutes after the last rumble of thunder before going back outside. • Seek shelter inside a large fullyenclosed building • Stay away from plumbing or electrical appliances. • Don’t use corded telephones. • A hardtopped metal vehicle is the next safest place • Roll up windows and don’t touch any metal. • Convertibles are NOT safe!! • Stay away from elevated places and tall isolated objects • Like mountains and trees • Stay off bodies of water • Seek shelter on land in a building. Start Game
