  2. Curriculum for Year 10 Students: • English • Maths • Science • Citizenship • Philosophy and Ethics • Personal, Social and Health Education • Games and Health & Self Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  3. Plus up to four Option subjects. These are chosen from: • French, German, Spanish • Engineering, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphics, Food Technology • Geography, History • Art, Drama, Music • PE, ICT Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  4. There are some other choices: • Triple Science • College or Farm course • Functional Skills Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  5. The English Baccalaureate: • English Language (C or above) • English Literature • Maths (C or above) • Double Science (2 Cs or above) • Geography or History (C or above) • A Modern Foreign Language (C or above) Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  6. Almost all courses are now linear Exams happen at the end of Year 11 but not in Year 10 Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  7. The only exception to this is Science in which there will be an exam in January for the double scientists and another exam in June for all students Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  11. Some courses are ‘continually assessed’ The work done throughout the course counts towards the GCSE Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening

  13. Some courses have a ‘Practical Assessment’ These generally take place in Year 11 Year 10 Parents Curriculum Information Evening
