  25. Message from President, Jennifer Fava NYSRPS is a leading organization in New York State supporting the field of parks, recreation and leisure services.  We continue to provide resources of many different varieties for our members including educational, informational and networking opportunities. A major goal undertaken this year which I am very proud of is the Strategic Plan.  The Society had not done this in over 20 years and over the past several months, a task force comprised of members, has worked very hard to represent the entire membership and establish a plan to guide the Society through the next three years.  I believe this will be an instrumental tool in leading us in the near future and will assist us in better serving our membership.  I hope you will join us for an Open Forum as we present the plan following this meeting. Special thanks to: The Annual Conference committee, led by Pete Finn.  Planning a conference takes a lot of work and I thank each and every person on the committee and those who have assisted along the way with this year’s conference. Our commercial members and our business partners who continue to support and contribute to our Society. The NYSRPS staff for doing an excellent job through some difficult conditions. The many NYSRPS volunteer members who helped craft the strategic plan that will carry us through the next few years. As my term as President of the Society winds down I want to take this occasion to thank the members of the Executive Board, our Executive Office Staff, and our membership for giving me the opportunity to serve NYSRPS and I look forward to helping to bring the strategic plan to fruition and to continue serving the Society through additional rolls.
