  2. Obscure (v.) – to hide • When it was time for lunch that day, Tallulah coolly scanned the lunchroom for a table to sit at, trying to obscure the fact that she was nervous.

  3. Impel ( v.) – to drive to actions; cause • Her gaze stopped on a small blonde girl sitting alone in the corner, and she felt impelled to go sit with Sylvie since she had been so nice to her in Science class that morning.

  4. Savor (v.) to take great delight in • Tallulah savored the fact that Sylvie’s face lit up when she saw her walking toward her table with the intention of having lunch with her.
